Jessica is a Canadian media professional, who is obsessed with magazines. She is a multi platform strategy wonk in tune with the Millennial generation. A digital native, Jessica is interested in innovation and loves experiencing and interacting with content in new ways and on different platforms.
She is keen on journalism ethics, team work, social media, and how journalism is changing. She enjoys blogging about innovation in journalism, multiplatform strategy, social media, analytics and content.
A Canadian citizen, Jessica is Albertan most recently and a Bluenoser at heart. She is a life-long-learner. Jessica has been educated at two of Canada’s top journalism schools – The University of King’s College where she obtained a Bachelor of Journalism (Honours), and Carleton University, where she has obtained a Master of Journalism degree.
Jessica has been a successful freelance journalist, with bylines in over 30 magazines and newspapers across Canada. She has also worked as a quarterly magazine editor, a professional photographer and weekly and daily newspaper reporter.
